Universal Lateral Flow Assay Kit (anti-FITC/FAM gold)
Attogene’s Universal Lateral Flow Assay Kits are ready-to-use dipstick kits for fast, low-cost development of lateral flow tests for labeled DNA and RNA, including amplification products from PCR, LAMP and RPA. The strips arrive pre-striped, so you can test your labeled product right away. There’s no need to stripe capture antibodies or buy striping equipment.
How it works
The reporter is 15 nm colloidal gold conjugated to an anti-FITC/FAM antibody. Every molecule to be detected must carry two labels:
- FITC/FAM, which binds the gold
- one capture label (biotin, digoxigenin [DIG] or 2,4-dinitrophenol [DNP]), which binds a test line
For amplification, label the 5′ end of one primer with FITC/FAM and the 5′ end of the opposite primer with the capture label, so every full-length product carries both. The goat anti-mouse (GAM) control line captures gold that passes the test lines, so the control line weakens as the test line strengthens.
Formats (lines listed from the dip end upward)
- AU2034-04, 2-line: T1 streptavidin (biotin) · C GAM. Detects FITC/FAM + biotin products.
- AU2034-05, 3-line: T1 streptavidin (biotin) · T2 anti-Dig (DIG) · C GAM. Up to 2 targets.
- AU2034-06, 4-line: T1 anti-DNP (DNP) · T2 streptavidin (biotin) · T3 anti-Dig (DIG) · C GAM. Up to 3 targets.
In the multiplex formats, each target carries FITC/FAM plus its own capture label and develops at its own test line.
Kit contents (100 tests)
- 100 × 4.5 mm dipsticks, in two desiccated canisters
- 12 mL Nucleic Acid Lateral Flow Running Buffer (RNase-free)
- 96-well plate + 4 extra wells
- Positive control nucleic acids, 20 µL each:
- biotin-FITC/FAM (all formats)
- FITC/FAM-DIG (AU2034-05 and AU2034-06)
- FITC/FAM-DNP (AU2034-06)

At a glance
- Dipstick: 4.5 mm × 60 mm
- Running buffer: 100 µL per test
- Sample: start with 1–5 µL; keep below 15 µL
- Read time: 30 minutes, unless your application shows a different read time is optimal
- Read by eye, by photograph or with a lateral flow reader
- Storage: dipsticks and running buffer at room temperature; control nucleic acids at 2–8 °C
